Half Load Season - March 1 to April 30, 2026
The half-load season on certain municipal roads runs from March 1 to April 30 each year. Trucks are subject to reduced load restrictions in line with the Highway Traffic Act and By-law 2009-045. These measures aim to safeguard roads and bridges from potential damage during the spring thaw and prevent the formation of severe potholes, cracking, and deformation that occur when heavy vehicles travel on softened, saturated roads. Certain exemptions may be requested. For further information and the half-load map, please visit our Public Works page on our website at: https://www.bayham.on.ca/municipal-office/public-works/
The Municipality of Bayham office will be closed for Easter on Friday, April 3rd and also Monday, April 6th, and will reopen Tuesday, April 7th at 8:30am for regular business hours.

At the June 20, 2024 Regular Meeting of Council, a presentation was received from Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. on the 2024 Water/Wastewater Rate Study. Council debated the two scenarios presented and resolved for staff to report back with further options for consideration. It was noted that these further options would need to come to a Special Meeting prior to July 12, 2024 to meet reporting deadlines through the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), but we have since received an extension on the financial component of the renewal application. Therefore, the further discussion on the Water/Wastewater Rate Study is expected to be on the September 5, 2024 Regular Meeting of Council.
